Les arts de la table par Tristan Philippe

Description

Indulge yourself with these precious little bowls, glazed to perfection, evocative of volcanic landscapes, of iridescent seashells... and host a classy cocktail party !

This self-taught craftsman entered the world of clay as one enters a religion. An admirer of Japanese wabi-sabi, which celebrates the beauty of imperfection, he draws his inspiration from the colors of his childhood in the South of France.

His alchemist-level research into glazes results in works that are halfway between objects and paintings. He acknowledges the influence of great figures of modern art such as Olivier Debré, Pierre Soulages, Mark Rothko and Picasso.
But what Tristan loves most of all is the notion that, in a world that's become so fast paced and ephemeral, all of his creations will outlive him.
Enthralled by his meeting with Julie, and enthusiastic about her project, the two of them joined forces to design an exclusive line of dishes for Majuno.
