Béatrice Bost-le-Mouël

Tissu en plumes à motifs géométriques noirs.

Featherworker, Béatrice Bost-le-Mouël has been working as a featherworker for the past ten years, transforming natural feathers into literal works of art. Using such a fluid material, she creates unique contemporary design pieces for the luxury and interior design sectors.

While feathers are ordinarily used in the high fashion industry, she was one of the first artisans to employ them in interior design.

Excellence, meticulousness as well as innovation; such are the qualities required by feather marquetry that her pieces perfectly capture.

She is always on the lookout for new ways to work with feathers; after crafting hangings, she began decorating furniture, mirrors and designing incredibly poetic wallpaper. Her latest creations are kakemonos with a twist: she replaced the calligraphy inscriptions with feather surfaces.

Béatrice Bost-le-Mouël has a burning passion for this bright material. She loves the extensive color range as well as the softness of feathers, sometimes recalcitrant but never fragile. Just as her preferred material, the featherworker bends but never breaks, driven by her noble and emotional bond with the animal.
